GeoGebra Discovery reaches 2000 installations via Linux/Snapcraft

Some surprising news: GeoGebra Discovery seems to be used by a quite large community, including Linux users. As of 30th of October 2025, there are more than 2000 active installations on various Linux systems (mostly on Ubuntu).

Growing interest is promising. Of course, it is difficult to decide if the reason behind is the lack of an official GeoGebra version on Snapcraft, or something different.

Users come from 110 countries. The most active countries are India (with 242 installations) and France (with 226 installations). The next countries are Germany (192), Brazil (159) and Spain (103). My home country Hungary has 17 installations, and my second home, Austria has 31.
